Join us in our first exciting year in France.  We are a young family, based in the Valley of the Lot with beautiful views of the mountains to one side and over the valley to nearby Prudhomat with spectacular views of the Chateau de Castelnau-Bretenoux to the other, which at night is just as beautiful as it is illuminated.

We are situated in the small hamlet of Granou, 10kms from Bretenoux, on the Baye River , with access to the Dordogne River only a 5-minute walk away.

We offer a basic, but comfy gite for 2, adjoining our home. There is a moderate open plan kitchenette/lounge, a good-sized double bedroom (a single bed or cot can also be added) and a shower room. All linen etc is included.

Pets are welcome by prior agreement and consideration for Harvey, our resident dog, who although boisterous is very friendly.

The gite is fitted with cooker, washing machine, fridge, microwave, kettle and all the usual basics.  There is also a barbeque.

We hope you will find it child and dog friendly as it is all enclosed.

As this is our first year in France, or indeed in the tourist field we hope you will bear with us!  The gite is fully self contained and homely, but during the next 6 months we hope to make the outside as welcoming. 

Depending on when you visit us we hope to have a splash pool in place.  Please check before booking if this is a main requirement.

As we have only just arrived we have no "nice summer shot" of our new home. By the time you arrive the courtyard featured will be far more welcoming, and we hope that by the time you visit us again you will see significant improvements.  The gite is available from May 2005 and has immediate vacancies.  This is an exciting project for us as a family and our aim is to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
